Hello and welcome to Minijacks!  I am trying to create an active and safe community for people interested in miniature Jack Russell dogs.  After getting my pup a few months ago I searched the internet for help and advice specific to miniature Jack Russells   Although there are many sites on the regular size dog l couldn’t find information specific to miniatures or Minijacks as they are sometimes called.

I am learning as l go about things such as food portion size, dangers to Ruby and a host of other things

I used to run a tuberculosis website hence the name auntiebiotics.  On social media I use the name of Jackie Russell (for obvious reasons!)

I dont like facebook and other forums that have now turned things into the wildwest with scammers and abuse.

I will be checking everyone who joins has a valid email address and without one no one will be able to begin a topic in the forum or reply

I plan to make this community, not just about miniature jack russells but other small dogs and puppies.

I will also have a dog free section called NO DOGS ALLOWED 🐶.

This will be a spot to talk about anything not pooch related, (except politics and religion).

I am running this site by myself at present and hope to recruit regulars in the future who want to help out and moderate.  I am dyslexic and am bound to make many mistakes.  I hope regulars will point things out

Just thinking what joy looking after Ruby has been, the initial “accidents” all over the place.  The chewed cushions and socks.  But what a blessing she has been.  I’ve been seriously ill for some time and now take quite strong medication that zonks me out sometimes but Ruby has changed everything for the better.

She’s demanding, feisty, loving and so cuddly!

I’ve been poorly the last couple of days but having a young pup like Ruby has been a help rather than a hindrance.  She craves cuddles and tries to please, such a little bundle of joy!
